District Carol Service 2019

Date: 21st Dec 2019 Author: Jamie Tarrant-Boyce

District held their annual carol service at St Columba Church, Ayr on the 6th December which was a great success once again. Amongst the many carols sung and the story of the Nativity (which was narrated by members of the 18th Ayrshire), there were also some well deserved Chief Scout awards presented to some of the young people in attendance.

Beavers, Cubs & Scouts all obtained the top awards for their respective sections (Chief Scout’s Bronze, Silver & Gold) with the Explorers achieving their Chief Scout’s Gold from their time in the Scout section.

There were also some leader awards which were given out that night as well, with a wood badge and a service award being presented to two of the leaders pictured below.

Many thanks for to the GSL of the 18th Ayrshire who organised the service and extremely well done to everyone who were given awards that night, congratulations 👏!
