Romania Explorer Belt 2022

EXPLORER BELT

Following the success of the Explorer Belt trip to Romania in 2019, we are looking to run another Explorer Belt in 2022. This will again be held in the Transylvania region of Romania.

The Explorer Belt is a challenge of a lifetime.

It is a chance to take part in a ten day expedition that brings you a real understanding of a different country, its culture and way of life.

You will develop this understanding by travelling through the chosen country, working as part of a small team to complete a series of projects and most importantly by meeting local people.

It is an experience and an achievement that you will remember for the rest of your life.

MEMBERSHIP

Be an Explorer Scout aged 16 or over, a Scout Network member.

COST

The cost for the Explorer Belt will be in the region of £1200 but this will be confirmed before final sign up is required.

TIMING

The Explorer Belt will be held in the summer of 2022, COVID restrictions permitting, and we will look to avoid a clash with Blair Atholl however again once we get a better idea of who are interested then we can confirm dates.

TRAINING

We will be holding a number of training days / weekends which you will be expected to attend. These are when you will undertake the preparation work for your Explorer Belt prior to leaving for Romania. Provisional dates for these are below:

26th September 2021 – Online Day Training
31st October 2021 – In Person Day Training (location to be confirmed)
26th – 28th November 2021 – Residential Weekend (location to be confirmed)
30th January 2022 – Online Day Training
27th February 2022 – In Person First Response Training (location to be confirmed)
27th March 2022 – In Person Day Training (location to be confirmed)
17th – 19th June 2022 – Residential Weekend (location to be confirmed)
